Sensational Cinnamon Snickerdoodles
Ingredients needed to make this recipe are:
• 1 cup shortening
• 1 ½ cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp. cream of tartar
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• ½ tsp. salt
• 2 Tbsp. sugar
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Use an electric mixer on a low speed to combine the eggs, 1 1/2 cups of sugar and the shortening in a large bowl. Gradually add the flour, followed by the cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

Stir together the 2 Tbsp. of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside for later use.

Place dough in the refrigerator to chill for approximately one hour. With well-floured hands, pinch bits of dough and roll them into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in the cinnamon and sugar mixture until they are coated.

Bake cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
